Hi  

I am Terrie Kalaputas, the designer and creator of Terries Bears and I live in Alberta, Canada.

I am a self taught bear artist and have been creative my whole life. I started making bears and dolls for my children while they were small. When they no longer played with them, I started making artist bears.

In 2004, I made my first miniature bear and was instantly addicted to minis and the challenges that they present. I enjoy all aspects of bear making from the first tiny stitch to the creation of a new personality. Currently, I am making more minis than large bears.

I worked as a floral designer for 18 years and thoroughly enjoyed this job because it allowed me to be creative every day. Now, when I am not making bears, I love to garden.  

My bears have been featured in magazines and have won several awards. Terrie Bears have been adopted  to homes all over the world.

I feel very blessed to be able to pursue my love of creating artist bears and I am delighted when they go to homes where they are loved.
